ProCare Therapy is seeking a certified ASL Interpreter (SLI) for a full-time school-based position in Selden, NY for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a great opportunity to provide essential interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Selden, NY
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday
- Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
- Caseload: School-based setting, supporting students' academic success
- Certification: Must hold a Certified NYS ASL Interpreter License
Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation for students in classrooms and school activities
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and school staff
- Support students' academic and social development
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams to enhance student learning
Requirements:
- Certified NYS ASL Interpreter License
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
