We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to join our team in the fabrication of precision-engineered pressure vessels. This role is critical to ensuring the structural integrity and safety of vessels used in high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in layout, fit-up, and tack welding, with a deep understanding of ASME code requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, fit, and tack weld pressure vessel components.
- Utilize Flux Core welding.
- Perform occasional finish welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and required welding techniques.
- Ensure all work meets ASME code standards
- Operate welding equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Perform fit-up without fixtures and weld in flat, horizontal, and occasional vertical positions.
Qualifications
- Certification in ASME welding
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a welder/fitter in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Experience with pressure vessel manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and safety
