SUMMARY
The Director of Engineering is responsible for providing strategic leadership, vision, and direction for the engineering organization at iNRCORE, Gowanda GEC, and Gowanda BTI. This role oversees the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the electronic component engineering process, while ensuring innovation, technical excellence, and alignment with company objectives. The Director guides the engineering staff, manages resources effectively, and collaborates across departments to deliver high-quality solutions for diverse markets.
This is an on-site role that can be based near Bristol, PA, Gowanda, NY, or Arcade, NY. The position requires regular travel among all three locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide technical and strategic leadership in delivering custom solutions for military avionics, medical, transportation, communications, and commercial markets.
- Establish long-term engineering strategies and roadmaps aligned with company goals.
- Oversee resolution of complex technical challenges, leveraging organizational expertise and fostering innovation.
- Ensure engineering projects meet performance, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Direct resource planning, allocation, and development to support current and future business needs.
- Serve as an executive-level technical authority, providing guidance on product capabilities and emerging technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, efficiency, and quality.
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate opportunities, support business development, and meet customer requirements.
- Travel required (approximately 25%)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and develops the Engineering department, including managers, engineers, and technical staff. Responsible for building high-performing teams, coaching future leaders, and aligning departmental performance with organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing engineering organizations that design passive and power inductors, RF inductors, and transformers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in resolving complex technical and business challenges.
