Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: Long Island, NY (On-site only)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 / year (commensurate with experience)

Department: Engineering

Reports To: General Manager / Head of Product Development


We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Electronics/Hardware Engineer to lead hardware design and product development efforts. This role involves designing, prototyping, testing, and supporting advanced electronic systems across diverse industries, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Key Responsibilities


Design & Development

  • Lead the design of electronic solutions, from component selection and schematic capture to PCB layout support and embedded firmware development (C/C++).
  • Participate in complex projects involving microcontrollers, analog and digital signals, and DC-DC power supplies.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, IP experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient system integration.

Testing, Verification & Optimization

  • Develop validation and testing plans for hardware to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance (FCC, CE).
  • Identify and resolve issues throughout the development, testing, and production phases.
  • Analyze and optimize existing designs with a focus on performance, cost, and manufacturability.

Documentation & Planning

  • Document technical specifications, design processes, test results, and engineering changes.
  • Define timelines and resource requirements to guide products from concept through release.

Mentorship & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide technical support and mentorship to engineers and technicians, promoting development best practices.
  • Research, propose, and implement new tools, technologies, methods, or components to improve product quality, efficiency, and competitiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering (or related field).
  • 8 to 20+ years of proven experience in hardware design, including development with microcontrollers.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, communication interfaces (USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, RS-232), and power supply systems.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as ORCAD and Allegro (or equivalent schematic and PCB layout software).
  • Experience developing embedded firmware in C/C++.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., CE, FCC) and hands-on experience with compliance testing.
  • Advanced analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in collaborative environments.

Pay Range: $90,000 – $130,000 / year

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
