Quest International is looking to add a full-time Field Service Technicians currently residing in New York to fulfill our customers’ needs.

Job Summary

Seeking a Field Service Technician with hands-on experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining A/V and electromechanical equipment for medical environments. This role is ideal for technicians with a knack for troubleshooting hardware and system issues, comfort in the field, and basic computer literacy. This is not a dedicated IT/networking position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair A/V equipment (audio systems, monitors, control hardware, etc.).

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

  • Provide phone support to other field service engineers and clients.

  • Collaborate with medical staff to schedule service—work may occur after hours.

  • Complete and document service visits accurately.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in A/V, electro-mechanical, or related hands-on technical fields.

  • Capable of identifying, connecting, and troubleshooting various cables (Coax, HDMI, USB, Cat5/6, etc.).

  • Competency with common service and diagnostic tools (multimeter, pressure meter, etc.).

  • Comfortable with physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, climbing).

Basic Computer Skills

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for service documentation.

  • Able to use digital tools to track work orders, parts, and complete reports.

  • Can follow instructions on specialized service software—no advanced IT certifications required.

Bonus / Preferred

  • Experience mounting A/V gear or working with hospital equipment.

  • Experience with CCTV, digital signal processors, or video matrix switchers.

  • CompTIA A+ certification a plus—not required.

Additional Details

  • Extensive travel is required; you must be able to use your own vehicle for in-state work, be able to rent a car and manage own travel bookings.

  • Strong communication and time management abilities.
