RN – CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The RN will provide critical care nursing to post-operative cardiac surgery patients, heart failure patients, and those requiring advanced cardiac interventions. This role requires advanced clinical skills, rapid decision-making, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, inotropes, and sedation per protocol
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill cardiac and post-surgical patients in the CVICU
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters, cardiac rhythms, and invasive lines
- Manage patients requiring ventilators, chest tubes, IABP, CRRT, and other advanced therapies
- Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families on recovery, treatment plans, and follow-up
- Document all care and interventions accurately in the EMR system
Required Qualifications:\n \nActive New York State RN license\nAHA BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)\nMinimum 2 years of recent CVICU or ICU experience\nStrong hemodynamic monitoring and critical care skills\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nCCRN certification\nPrevious experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma or Cardiac Surgery Center\n\n\nApplication Process:\n\nPlease submit your resume to ashutosh.kumar@medcadre.com or call 949-620-6188.
