Job Overview
We are a rapidly growing commercial litigation firm looking to hire an Associate Attorney, admitted to NY (NJ a plus) with practical experience. We are a creditor's rights firm with a focus in commercial collections and judgment enforcement.

Duties
As an Associate, you're going to have very real and very significant responsibilities, including:
- Drafting/reviewing litigation documents including pleadings, motion papers and briefs, discovery demands/responses, correspondence with adversaries and the courts
- Conducting legal research
- Communications (written and verbal) with the courts, adversaries and others
- Making court appearances for conferences and motions (virtual and in-person)
- Taking/defending depositions
- Negotiating settlements
- Serving as a resource to the firm's paralegals by reviewing drafts and answering questions.

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State bar
- Proven experience in commercial litigation
- Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to write clear and persuasive documents.
- Have the desire and qualities of a leader
- Excellent research skills with proficiency in using legal research databases like LexisNexis.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Compensation & Perks
Annual Pay: Starting rate at $130,000, could be higher depending on experience

Schedule: This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position. While the general expectation is Monday through Friday, approximately 4050 hours per week, were looking for someone who understands that the nature of the role may occasionally require additional time to meet deadlines or client needs.
Work Location: In-person (Long Island or Queens residents only)
