Position Summary:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist attorneys in managing all phases of personal injury cases, from intake through settlement or trial.
Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct initial client interviews and gather detailed accident and injury information.
•Manage case files, maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, and ensure timely case progression.
•Draft legal documents including demand letters, discovery requests/responses, motions, medical chronologies, and settlement packages.
•Obtain and organize medical records, bills, and insurance documents.
•Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and expert witnesses.
•Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
•Monitor deadlines and maintain case calendars.
•Perform legal research as needed.
•Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information.
Qualifications:
•Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
•Minimum 2+years of experience in personal injury law.
•Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures in personal injury cases.
•Experience with e-filing in NY and/or NJ
•Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
•High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
