This is an opportunity to join a cutting-edge leader in managing music publishing and sound recording assets on the biggest digital music and video platforms.

Audiam is seeking a Copyright Coordinator to join our team in New York. As the Copyright Coordinator you will assist in maintaining content management accounts on behalf of music publishers and to claim uses, resolve conflicts and update registrations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, have an analytical approach to problem solving, and share our passion for supporting music creators.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Utilizing the content management tools of multiple video distribution platforms, to manage music copyrights on behalf of Audiam’s clients
  • Making royalty claims by maintaining song database, supporting catalogue ingestion, and understanding/implementing permission policies
  • Resolving ownership and claim conflicts with other copyright administrators by confirming ownerships, resolving disputes, and performing catalog research
  • Communicating with publishers to identify missing or incomplete song copyrights and updating/adding correct information to database to resolve conflicts with co-publishers
  • Collaborating across the company and tech team to make data updates across multiple platforms
  • Providing excellent client support by answering questions, ensuring timely royalty claims and resolving conflicts as they arise
  • Searching various databases to identify correct composition matches and increasing data matching of sound recording to compositions through ongoing research and analysis

What Makes You Qualified:

  • Bachelor’s degree in music business, business administration, related field or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years professional work experience in the music/entertainment, data management, and/or customer service industries
  • Strong knowledge and interest in popular music performers and songwriters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage work to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to maintain a positive work environment and communicate in a professional manner with clients, colleagues, and managers
  • Previous experience with YouTube’s CMS and or Meta’s Rights Manager a plus

This is a hybrid role that will require you to commute to our New York City office a minimum of three days a week.
