In an engaging K-12 educational environment located in Brooklyn, NY, a dedicated professional is sought to provide critical psychological services to students, particularly within the preschool and kindergarten settings. This full-time role focuses on addressing the diverse needs of young learners, ensuring that each child receives the support necessary for their educational and emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State School Psychologist License
  • Experience working with preschool and kindergarten-aged children
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Knowledge of Special Education regulations and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location:

  • Brooklyn, NY, serving a K-12 school community

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students
  • Provide individual and group counseling tailored to young children
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement appropriate interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEPs
  • Offer guidance to parents regarding their child's development and needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services
