Our client is hiring Nurse Practitioners (NPs) at a renowned nonprofit specialty hospital in the Bronx that exclusively provides palliative and end-of-life care to adult patients with advanced illness.
The hospital is expanding its medical team in response to upcoming retirements and a shift toward a collaborative care model where NPs play a central role in patient management alongside physicians.
Highlights of the Role:
- Position: Full-time Adult NP (AGNP preferred; FNPs with relevant experience encouraged to apply)
- Setting: Inpatient palliative and hospice care; average NP panel ~20 patients
- Team Model: Each unit is covered by a team of 1 physician and 2 NPs
- Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually, with additional incentive opportunities
- Schedule: 36.25-hour workweek, rotating day and evening call; exempt position
- Growth: Currently 3 full-time NPs, actively hiring 4 more, with plans to grow the team to 14
- Credentialing: Approximately 2 months; onboarding approval required by the Board
- Technology: Meditech EMR
- Experience: RN background in oncology, hospice, or palliative care strongly preferred; new NP grads with this experience are welcome
