Are you interested in providing evidenced based therapeutic services to those in need? Do you enjoy individual or group counseling? Perhaps providing crisis treatment? Maybe you are interested in working in a clinic or a forensic/jail setting, or you specialize substance abuse services, or you prefer working mobile crisis. We have opportunities for all of this and more.

At Steuben County Community Services, our clincians can work in one of the following areas:

Clinical- Adult and/ or Youth

Forensic/Jail

Drug and Alcohol

Mobile Crisis Team

Our licensed clinicians are responsible for conducting intake assessments, directing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as providing crisis services and making diagnostic determinations at both the clinic and jail setting. They develop treatment plans as well as provide other necessary documentation. Our clinician’s interface with local providers, such as the court system, probation and parole, medical providers, the Department of Social Services, and many other community stakeholders to provide quality care and linkages to other services that are in the best interest of our clients.

We are currently seeking several licensed clinicians (LMSW & LCSW) in these areas with locations in Hornell, Bath & Corning, NY.

Company DescriptionSteuben County Community Services (SCCS) is dedicated to assisting individuals recovering from the effects of behavioral health issues so that they may live, work, and play more fully in the community. SCCS aims to reduce the stress associated with mental illness and/or substance use and to promote insights and personal growth. Recovery is facilitated by a partnership between consumer and staff. SCCS’s highly trained staff include addictions specialists, case managers, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health counselors, social workers, Peers, support personnel, and billing specialists. Staff will assist each consumer in identifying personal goals for recovery and in enhancing existing strengths and assets to achieve these goals. Staff also ensure financial viability of the programs and assist consumers with financial guidance to allow for service completion.
\tA variety of services are available to individuals and families, including screening and referral, assessment, addictions services, clinic/therapy services, medication management, case management, forensic services, PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services), Compeer, Peer services, and MAT (medication assisted treatment).

SCCS's currently operates the following programs in striving to achieve its mission to serve Steuben County:
