Job Title: Clinical Infusion Manager – Infusion Center & Home Infusion Services
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Manager to lead the clinical operations of our newly established Infusion Center and Home Infusion Services. This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all clinical and regulatory aspects of infusion services across both in-center and in-home settings. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building the clinical infrastructure, hiring and training staff, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Leadership
- Oversee the launch and clinical setup of the infusion center and home infusion services.
- Develop clinical workflows, protocols, and policies that meet industry standards and best practices.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of clinical staff, including RNs, pharmacists, and support staff.
- Serve as the primary clinical resource for staff and leadership on infusion-related matters.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Establish quality assurance initiatives, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols.
- Prepare for and manage inspections, audits, and accreditations.
Patient Care & Clinical Oversight
- Supervise all aspects of patient care to ensure quality, safety, and continuity.
- Monitor patient outcomes and support individualized care planning.
- Provide guidance and support in complex or escalated clinical situations.
Operational Management
- Collaborate with executive leadership to manage budgeting, vendor relationships, and inventory management for infusion supplies.
- Support the integration of EMRs, scheduling systems, and other tools to enhance clinical efficiency.
- Assist in establishing service contracts and relationships with referring providers and healthcare partners.
Home Infusion Program
- Develop and oversee protocols for nursing visits, medication storage, administration, and documentation for home infusion.
- Coordinate with pharmacy services for compounding, delivery, and patient education.
Qualifications:
- RN license (active and in good standing in [state]); BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in infusion therapy, home health, or related specialty.
- Prior management or director-level experience in an infusion or ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build programs from the ground up in a start-up or early-stage healthcare environment.
