Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #SJ-OA)

Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an outgoing and motivated young man. He enjoys working out, going to the mall, and spending time with his friends. He is interested in taking karate classes and wants to learn how to drive. He will be attending Inclusive U in the fall. In this role, you will help him become more involved in community events and will assist him with improving his independence skills and achieving his goals. In the fall, you will attend classes with him and support him in his educational pursuits by supporting him with note taking in class, learning organizational skills, managing deadlines, and navigating the Syracuse University campus. He is seeking a friendly, supportive individual with strong organizational skills and an interest in physical activity. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience.

Hours and Days of work:

The schedule over the summer is flexible and specific days and times can be worked out with the individual upon hire. The fall schedule will include daytime shifts as needed to accommodate his class schedule and can also include evening or weekend shifts.

Payrate:

$21.00 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Location: Syracuse, NY

Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
