Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity in Ilion, NY, is seeking a skilled Imaging Cath Lab Technician to support cardiac catheterization procedures. The position offers a structured 40-hour workweek, organized as four 10-hour shifts, with a rotating on-call requirement and participation in holiday coverage during the winter season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cardiac catheterization lab procedures utilizing advanced imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, who will operate the X-ray equipment, to ensure patient safety and procedure accuracy.
- Maintain a sterile and organized work environment.
- Respond to on-call duties as scheduled and cover assigned holiday shifts.
- Utilize knowledge of obstetrics imaging techniques, with preference for candidates possessing 3+ years of OB experience.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Certification as RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- If ARRT certification is held, a valid New York State license is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
- Minimum of 3 years experience preferred, particularly in obstetrics imaging.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, 4 days with 10-hour shifts.
- Rotating on-call duties.
- Commitment to cover two of the three key winter holidays as needed.
