Job Title: IT Field Technician
Location: Queens, NY (servicing Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx)
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time
Travel Required: Yes – regular travel to 11+ locations
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable IT Field Technician to provide Level 1 and Level 2 onsite and remote support across multiple locations in New York City. This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite IT support to 11+ locations across Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.
- Collaborate with our Managed Services Provider (MSP) to serve as on-the-ground support when needed.
- Troubleshoot and support:
- Windows 10/11
- Microsoft Office 365
- Android tablets and iPhones
- Multifunction printers
- Wi-Fi and internet connectivity
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, printers, scanners, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Replace and troubleshoot hardware components as needed.
- Provide remote support when not in the field.
- Maintain accurate documentation and track issues through resolution.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff, including device setup.
- Configure and support Microsoft Office applications.
- Conduct monthly visits to each location for proactive maintenance and support.
- Develop user training materials and conduct sessions to improve IT literacy and confidence.
- Maintain and regularly update an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets across locations.
- Support the Operations Director as needed with non-technical tasks, such as providing updates on work orders, inventories, and inspections at each location.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or field technician role.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and documentation best practices.
- Previous experience supporting multi-site environments.
