Job Description

As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Access Control in Flushing, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated manufacturing and industrial locations to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols while remaining visible to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related issues as they arise.
• Complete written and/or electronic incident reports and logs as required by site-specific policies.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with directions and site information while maintaining a professional presence.
• Remain visible and accessible throughout the patrol shift to help to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
