Job Title: Mental Health Technician – Per Diem

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Technician for a per diem opportunity in an inpatient psychiatric setting. This role supports patients with acute mental health needs, working within a multidisciplinary care team to maintain safety, structure, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to patients in a behavioral health unit
- Support therapeutic activities and assist with crisis de-escalation
- Monitor and document patient behavior and mental status
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to carry out treatment plans
- Perform EKGs and basic phlebotomy tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an inpatient psych or behavioral health setting
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association – Required
- CPI/PMCS or similar crisis intervention certification – Preferred
- Experience with EKG and phlebotomy – Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s in a related field preferred
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Availability for flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays
