Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled MEP Design Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and due diligence of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with building codes and standards while delivering innovative and efficient design solutions for our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough due diligence assessments for MEP systems in various projects.
- Design plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems that meet project requirements and comply with local building codes.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for creating detailed design drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop energy-efficient system designs and contribute to sustainable building practices.
- Prepare construction documents and ensure accurate project documentation.
- Manage project timelines and ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
- Support project management activities, including tracking project progress and reporting on key milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP design engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and standards applicable to MEP systems.
- Experience in mechanical design and energy efficiency practices.
- Familiarity with LEED certification processes and sustainable design principles.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate with contractors and team members effectively.
