Shop Foreman - Fabrication Division at Deer Park, NY.
Our client is a leading fabricator and supplier of specialty outdoor furnishings and steel structures, is seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to manage day-to-day operations at their fabrication workshop.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>
Oversee all metal fabrication activities and ensure quality control on gates, benches, fences, railings, and other steel products
</li>
<li>
Manage shop personnel, delegate tasks, and enforce safety standards
</li>
<li>
Read and interpret drawings, specs, and cut lists to ensure proper fabrication
</li>
<li>
Monitor workflow, inventory, materials, and equipment maintenance
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
</li>
<li>
Train and mentor team members on fabrication processes and welding techniques
</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>
5+ years' experience in metal fabrication (chain link, steel, pipe, railing, etc.)
</li>
<li>
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a shop setting
</li>
<li>
Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols
</li>
<li>
Strong knowledge of fabrication tools, machinery, and welding practices
</li>
<li>
Organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
</li>
</ul>
Preferred:
<ul>
<li>
Forklift experience
</li>
<li>
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
</li>
</ul>
