What You’ll Do
Lead Engineering Operations
- Manage daily operations of a high-performing engineering team.
- Ensure balanced workloads across pre-sales, training, support, and consulting.
- Guide the VP of Engineering on performance reviews and goal-setting.
- Ensure timely and accurate timekeeping
Drive Technical Support Excellence
- Oversee technical support ticket resolution for timeliness and accuracy.
- Investigate and address customer satisfaction concerns based on survey feedback.
- Review all proposals for technical accuracy, and competitive pricing before submission.
- Deliver project success by ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with other engineering leads to share resources and technical expertise.
- Assign engineers to pre-sales opportunities based on technical fit.
- Ensure engineers provide effective, accurate technical input during customer engagements.
Lead and Develop Talent
- Build and manage a skilled engineering team aligned with organizational goals.
- Recruit, select, appraise, and reward team members.
- Address performance issues directly and constructively.
- Provide opportunities for skill development through training and diverse project assignments.
What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
- 8+ years of hands-on experience using Ansys for product analysis.
- Experience leading a simulation or design team with significant FEA focus.
Technical Expertise
- Deep proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with Ansys Mechanical.
- Expertise in Workbench, APDL, non-linear simulations, and advanced FEA principles (meshing, boundary conditions, convergence, material models).
- CAD integration (SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
- Familiarity with optimization algorithms and DOE.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in stress analysis, fatigue, and mechanical design.
- Additional understanding of CFD, Electromagnetics, and multiphysics integration is beneficial.
Leadership Skills
- Ability to mentor engineers and develop technical capability.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Pay range: $100,000 - 165,000 (Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location)
