Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail pharmacy, with experience in retail, compounding, claim adjudication and verification. This role requires a commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a retail setting. The Pharmacist will play a crucial role in medication management, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.
Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-specific medication therapy plans calculate dosing using resources
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient education.
- Efficiently oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and staff
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and medication inventory.
- Medication adherence packaging
- Prepare limited compounding of medication
- Provide immunizations of all ACIP accredited vaccine
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited institution and active pharmacist license in the New York State.
- Bilingual (Spanish/creole) preferred (not req.)
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation/verification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience in a retail environment is highly desirable (not req.)
- Current BLS/Immunization Certificate

Pay: $58.00 - $70.00 per hour
