Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available to support a K-12 school serving approximately 750 students, primarily focusing on the middle school grades (6-8). This contract role runs from August 19th through the end of the school year, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include conducting 75-80 comprehensive psychological evaluations annually to assist in student educational planning and support. The role demands collaboration with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and address student needs effectively. Additional hours may be required for district meetings and other professional obligations.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification appropriate for K-12 settings
- Proven experience performing psychological assessments in an educational environment
- Strong knowledge of cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral assessment tools
- Ability to interpret data to guide interventions and support services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and education staff
- Capacity to manage evaluation caseload for a mid-sized student population efficiently
