OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced teacher dedicated to creating an inclusive and innovative learning experience designed to help at-risk students reach their full academic, emotional, and social growth potential in a small group setting. Must have proven knowledge of classroom management and curriculum development to compliment in-class instruction.
REQUIREMENTS
- A degree from an accredited university in education or related field
- At least 3 years' experience as lead classroom teacher
DUTIES
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and presentations.
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to improve instructional strategies and share resources.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other essential documentation.
SKILLS
- Strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning, grading, and classroom activities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes and required reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise in the classroom setting.
