International Shoppes is all about delivering the best service and product assortment to the traveling public since 1951.

We are currently located in New York's JFK International Airport; Terminals 1 and 5, Washington DC's Dulles International Airport; Terminal B, Baltimore's International Thurgood Marshall Airport; Concourse A-B, Connecticut's Bradley International Airport; Main Terminal, Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport; Terminal D and our newly acquired operations, Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu and Kahului Airport (OGG) in Maui.

Our Corporate office and warehouse is located in Valley Stream, NY.


Store Manager Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all store operations
  • Supervise, train, coach and develop store personnel (Supervisors and Associates)
  • Build and maintain business relationships to facilitate organizational profitability
  • Assist HR in recruitment process
  • Identify and analyze current and future consumer/business/traveling trends, and advise accordingly
  • Ensure availability of merchandise and services using inventory systems
  • Maintain and implement loss prevention policies
  • Adhere to applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a team environment
  • Perform other dutes as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 3 to 4 years progressive retail management experience.
  • Experience in managing multiple locations is a HUGE plus.
  • Must have experience in managing 50+ employees.
  • Preferable, but not required: Ability to speak one or more of the following languages a plus:
    Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, and French.
  • Must have schedule flexibility—Holidays and Weekends are mandatory.
