Position Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of construction project coordination or management experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases of the project.
• Update and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6 under the guidance of the Project Manager. Participate in progress meetings and provide scheduling updates as needed.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and cost reports, reporting variances to the Project Manager.
• Assist with preparing meeting agendas, progress reports, and presentation materials.
• Ensure project files are organized and up-to-date, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
• Support field operations as needed to resolve technical or logistical issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project coordination or management.
• Basic knowledge in Primavera P6 scheduling software (required).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Procore or similar project management tools is a plus.
