Job Summary:

The residential Leasing Agent is a key member of the Glendale team, as the first point of contact for prospective residents, they are forefront of the leasing process and promoting positive resident experiences. The ideal individual will be enthusiastic in exploring the market to identify opportunities and assisting potential renters in finding their ideal apartment. The Leasing Agent is responsible for scheduling and showing available apartments, leasing to qualified applicants, renewing leases with current tenants, and performing administrative and managerial duties concerning the property as directed.



Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greet prospects and show vacant and/ or model apartments.
  • Provide courteous, efficient handling of all prospect and resident phone calls and emails.
  • Provide consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Assist Property Manager in creating and implementing advertisements in media.
  • Assist Property Manager in generating leads with a focus on converting leads into rentals.
  • Prepare required paperwork to process and move in prospective residents.
  • Have thorough knowledge of lease terms, addendums, and community policies.
  • Have knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Know the geographical area of the community and be able to give location directions, as well as pertinent information about the community.
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of resident lease renewals.
  • Assist in collection and posting of rent checks.
  • Take service requests from residents and coordinate work orders with the Maintenance Department.
  • Assist in planning and implementing community events to encourage resident retention.
  • Assist in ensuring the property always has good "curb appeal" by reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Tech savvy, computer literate, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Rent Management Software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service and sales focused.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal vehicle required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in apartment leasing is preferred. Real estate sales license preferred, not required.
  • At least two (2) years of related experience required, comparable customer service, sales, administrative, etc.
