Job Title: Medical Assistant
Address: 1400 Pelham Pkwy S, Bronx, NY 10461,
Shift: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Contract: 8 weeks
Pay rate: $22 to $25
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with OB/GYN patient intake, exams, and procedures.
- Record and update vital signs, patient history, and medical information in EMR.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control standards.
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as required.
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision.
- Manage patient flow and assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC or other EMR systems.
- Provide patient education and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Required:

- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS Certification
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program
- Phlebotomy experience
- EMR/EPIC experience
- Preferred:

- Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA or AMT-RMA)
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Bilingual – Spanish strongly preferred
- OB/GYN clinic experience
