Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Municipal/Land Use Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal guidance on municipal law and land use matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and representing the interests of the municipality in various legal contexts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise municipal clients on land use regulations, zoning laws, and environmental issues.
  • Represent municipalities in litigation and administrative proceedings related to land use and environmental law.
  • Draft legal documents, including ordinances, contracts, and resolutions related to land use and municipal governance.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on complex municipal issues.
  • Collaborate with government officials, planning boards, and community stakeholders to address land use concerns and facilitate development projects.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and active license to practice law.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in municipal law, land use, and environmental law.
  • Strong litigation experience, including experience in state and federal courts.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
