Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments through patient and family interviews to gather case history.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans based on medical and emotional evaluations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff to design treatment plans.
• Administer psychotropic medications and monitor reactions.
• Facilitate patient understanding of emotional disturbances and treatment acceptance.
• Maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Monitor vital signs and manage pain treatment.
• Accurately document all patient information and follow physician orders.
• Ensure confidentiality and proper recordkeeping of treatments, immunizations, and lab results.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience, preferably in emergency or behavioral health nursing.
• CPI certification (Crisis Prevention Intervention).
