Summary: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company equipment including trucks, tractors, skid steers, lawn equipment, snow removal machinery, and other tools. Ensures all mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently to support superior property service operations. Must demonstrate strong technological aptitude and an ability to use, set up, and follow internal systems that support our operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Report to shop on time and ready to work at the start of the scheduled shift.*
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on trucks, trailers, mowers, snow blowers, salters, tractors, and small engines.*
- Conduct preventative maintenance routines to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.*
- Receive repair requests through JotForm or directly from team leads and managers.*
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs performed using company software platforms.*
- Communicate status updates on equipment and parts ordering to supervisors.*
- Grease, lube, and check all critical components before releasing equipment for use.*
- Perform seasonal setup and teardown of vehicles and equipment (i.e. install/remove salters, plows, mower decks, etc.).*
- Ensure work area remains clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.*
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including the use of PPE.*
- Tag and isolate unsafe equipment until repairs are completed.*
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure all equipment is field-ready before peak season changes.*
- Assist with parts inventory management, vendor coordination, and digital tracking of orders.*
- Maintain security of tools, shop equipment, and company assets.*
- Participate in safety meetings, equipment training, and ongoing professional development.*
- Operate shop equipment such as hoists, diagnostic scanners, and hand/power tools safely.*
- Dispose of used oil, fluids, and parts in accordance with environmental regulations.*
- Follow and help improve digital workflow systems for maintenance requests, job status, and communication.*
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational readiness.*
Requirements:Qualifications:

- Ability to read technical manuals and interpret diagnostic data.
- Effectively communicate with team members and management.
- Ability to calculate torque, PSI, volume, and fluid conversions.
- Basic algebra to support mechanical repairs.
- Ability to diagnose issues, interpret data, and make sound mechanical decisions.
- Able to troubleshoot and prioritize repairs efficiently.
- Strong familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and web-based tools.
- Ability to use internal platforms like JotForm and Follotrac for task tracking and communication.*
- Ability to learn, follow, and help refine internal systems for work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
- Experience with diagnostic software and digital equipment manuals preferred.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of relevant mechanical experience preferred
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL is a plus but not required
- ASE certification preferred but not mandatory
