Job Summary:

Woods Oviatt Gilman, LLP, is seeking a real estate associate attorney with experience handling complex commercial transactions. This role involves structuring, negotiating, and closing deals across all real estate asset classes, using a variety of capital sources. Ideal candidates will have experience in multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development, and construction contracts. Experience with agency and conduit lenders is a plus.

Qualification:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to the bar and licensed to practice law in NYS.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing commercial real estate transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify legal issues, evaluate risks, and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to advocate for clients' interests and achieve favorable outcomes in commercial real estate law.
  • Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing legal documents and conducting due diligence investigations to ensure accuracy and minimize errors or omissions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism in dealing with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in commercial real estate transactions.

The compensation range for this position is $110,000–$140,000 annually, plus bonus potential, representing our good faith and reasonable estimate of the potential compensation at the time of posting. Additionally, relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
