We are seeking a meticulous Mechanical Inspector to perform in-process and first-piece inspections, ensuring that all manufactured parts adhere to customer requirements and procedures. You will run programs while cross-referencing engineering drawings and ensure that tasks are completed within specified timeframes and according to specifications. Adherence to company safety regulations and cooperation with team members are crucial to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and first-piece inspections.
- Run programs and cross-reference engineering drawings.
- Ensure manufactured parts meet customer requirements and procedures.
- Complete assigned tasks within given timeframes and according to specifications.
- Follow supervisor instructions.
- Adhere to company safety regulations, including those regarding machine operation.
- Cooperate with other employees to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 3 years of inspection experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
- Experience in mechanical inspection.
- Skill in first article inspection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in fabricating and inspecting forming sheet metal and welding.
- Aerospace experience is a plus

Work Environment
The work environment is a production setting where you will inspect racks and the paint of cabinets for server IT rooms. The position operates on the first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
