Pay Rate: $48–$55 per hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800–$2,062.50

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join a diagnostic imaging team in Long Island City, NY. This contract role is ideal for technologists early in their careers who are committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assist radiologists as needed

• Operate, adjust, clean, and perform minor troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment

• Ensure patient and staff safety by following electrical, equipment, and infection-control guidelines

• Capture, label, and transfer ultrasound images to PACS and physician workstations

• Maintain ultrasound rooms, equipment, and adequate supply levels

• Assist with exam scheduling, answering phones, and coordinating patient transport when required

• Support onboarding and mentoring of new ultrasound staff

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and facility standards

• Perform additional duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired

• ARDMS certification (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – RDMS)

• BLS certification

• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology
  OR
  High School Diploma/GED with completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program

• 0–2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist

• Proficiency with PACS systems and diagnostic ultrasound equipment

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Preferred

• Experience with GE E9 ultrasound systems

• Breast imaging and routine diagnostic ultrasound experience
