Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and reliable Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge of commercial truck and fleet tire maintenance, repair, and installation, both on-site and on the road. This individual will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest quality of service for our commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and replace commercial truck tires (including steer, drive, trailer, and off-road tires).

  • Mount, demount, balance, rotate, and repair commercial tires using proper tools and procedures.

  • Perform tire services both in-shop and on-site (roadside or customer location) using a service truck when required.

  • Maintain and operate tire-changing equipment, balancing machines, and other related tools safely and efficiently.

  • Conduct regular air pressure checks and inspections to ensure compliance with DOT standards.

  • Track tire performance, wear patterns, and service history using shop software or manual logs.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.

  • Comply with all safety protocols and regulations, including PPE use and hazard recognition.

  • Train and mentor junior technicians when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a commercial tire technician.

  • Proficient with all aspects of commercial tire maintenance, including retreading knowledge (preferred).

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, bend, squat, and work in various weather conditions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and tire industry safety standards.

  • Willingness to participate in on-call or emergency roadside service rotations.



On call after hours rotation required. Minimum of $100 compensation per after hours call.
