Long Island Select Healthcare Inc. (LISH) is a comprehensive network of community health centers. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides Article 16 and 28 clinic services at 8 locations across Suffolk County, New York. We are a multi-specialty healthcare provider caring for our community through Primary and Specialty Medical Care, Dental, Behavioral Health, Audiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. We currently provide care to over 7,000 patients and have an annual operating revenue of $22m.

About the Role:
As a Neurologist at Long Island Select Healthcare Inc., you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders. Your expertise will be essential in developing comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, ensuring optimal health outcomes. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care, integrating various specialties such as pediatrics and pain management. Additionally, you will engage in medical education, sharing your knowledge with peers and trainees to foster a culture of continuous learning. Ultimately, your contributions will significantly enhance the quality of life for patients suffering from complex neurological conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Board certification in Neurology.
- Valid medical license to practice in New York.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty of neurology.
- Experience in pediatric neurology or pain management.
- Experience working with the IDD population.
- Previous involvement in healthcare management or leadership roles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough neurological examinations and assessments to diagnose conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families about neurological disorders and treatment options.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training programs to stay current with advancements in neurology.
Skills:
The required skills in neurology, pediatrics, and pain management will be utilized daily to assess and treat a diverse patient population. Your surgical skills may come into play when addressing specific neurological conditions that require intervention. Knowledge in healthcare management will aid in navigating the complexities of patient care and ensuring efficient operations within the clinic.
