Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students within a dynamic school environment. This per diem position offers flexibility, providing coverage as needed throughout the school year from January to June. Ideal for educators with expertise in special education looking to contribute to student success on a temporary, as-needed basis.
Location: Rochester, NY
Start Date: January 12, 2026
End Date: June 26, 2026
Schedule: Per diem, Monday through Friday (hours vary based on daily needs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs across grades K-12
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create and implement effective accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and development
- Adapt teaching techniques and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Special Education teaching license submission of license is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education laws
- Ability to work independently with flexible availability as per diem needs arise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff
