Position: Administrator, Admitting, Intake & Outreach Services

Our client, a nationally recognized hospital at the forefront of compassionate end-of-life care for terminally ill adults, is seeking an Adminitrator, Admitting-Intake and Outreach.

Overview:
The Administrator oversees Admitting, Intake, and Community Outreach Services, reporting to the Vice President, Admitting, Intake and Outreach and will be working closely with hospital leadership. This leader plays a key role in ensuring smooth patient admissions, strengthening community/provider relationships, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and integrate admitting, intake, and outreach functions across the hospital.
• Collaborate with providers, payors, and internal teams to streamline admissions and ensure reimbursement.
• Monitor service quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety initiatives.
• Develop departmental goals, manage budgets, and oversee staff performance.
• Represent the hospital at community events and external meetings.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• Active NYS Registered Nurse license.
• 5–10 years of management experience (3 years in an Administrator role preferred).
• Experience in discharge planning in a large academic medical center.
• Strong knowledge of quality improvement, utilization review, and data analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
