Position
As Annual Giving Associate, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to work at a school with approximately 530 exceptional, gifted young men, talented faculty, and committed staff. Located in New York City, Regis High School is a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory school and the only Jesuit, full-scholarship high school in the country. The school was founded in 1914 through the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous woman and her family. Regis now relies on the philanthropy of alumni, parents, and friends as its most significant source of financial support. Regis is committed to both academic excellence and fostering a spirit of generosity and service to those in need. Position Summary
Regis High School seeks a passionate, mission-driven, and talented individual to play an important role on its Advancement team. The Annual Giving Associate will report to the Associate Director for Annual Giving and will also work closely with the Advancement and Finance team. This individual plays a critical role in supporting and coordinating projects related to fundraising and community building, all in pursuit of advancing the mission of Regis High School.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Blackbaud Managed Services to oversee requests submitted by the Advancement team and implement gift entry recommendations from Blackbaud.
- Responsible for gift entry and processing of checks, electronic gifts, and matching gifts.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department with monthly reconciliation of gifts.
- Manage distribution of donor acknowledgement letters.
- Ensure timely response to all donor correspondence and inquiries submitted to Advancement.
- Lead donor constituent research as needed.
- Provide support to the Associate Director for Annual Giving on the various fundraising appeals such as: Giving Tuesday, End of Calendar Year, Young Alumni Challenge, Giving Weekend, and End of Fiscal Year.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director for Annual Giving and/or the Vice President for Advancement.
- Assist with volunteer management of Class Fund Chairs (CFC).
- Support and be willing to advance the Catholic and Jesuit mission of the school.
- And any other job responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 2+ years of professional advancement experience and/or relevant experience in another industry/field.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Exemplary attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Skilled with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software such as Basecamp.
- A self-starter with the ability to initiate and follow through on new programs and projects both alone and as part of a team that generates revenue and goodwill in order to achieve strategic and organizational goals.
- A team player with the ability to lead and contribute to Advancement Office projects, including coordinating with colleagues to achieve desired outcomes, prioritizing short- and long-term tasks, and tracking and reporting on progress to goals.
- Strong social and customer service skills, with an eagerness to problem-solve, as well as comfort with networking and forward-facing donor relations.
- Understanding of and a passion for Regis’s mission of educating young men in the tradition of the Society of Jesus including a respect for and understanding of Regis’s Jesuit and Catholic culture.
- Some evenings and weekends are required for this position.
Education & Experience
A bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in business, communications, liberal arts, non-profit management, or other related fields is preferred. Evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars, or professional associations is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range is $68,000-$72,000, commensurate with years of experience and level of success in the institutional advancement area, eligible for most benefits immediately.
Other expectations
A willingness to work at times outside the normal school day and weekends.
The school expects one to conduct oneself at all times in a manner which shall not bring reproach upon oneself or the school.
