** Job Description - Carpenter (Multifamily Development)
Location: Active Jobsite - Young Development/Seasonal Construction Division
The Carpenter plays a critical role on our multifamily development sites by handling all finish, trim and touch-up work required to deliver units and buildings to Young Development's quality standards. This position works directly under the onsite Superintendent, executing daily punch-list work, coordinating with subcontractors as needed, and ensuring all final details are completed accurately and on schedule.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to join our dynamic construction team. The Carpenter plays a critical role on our multifamily development sites by handling all finish, trim, and touch-up work required to deliver units and building to Young Development's quality standards. This position works directly under the onsite Superintendent, executing daily punch-list work, coordinating with subcontractors as needed, and ensuring all final details are completed accurately and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Complete all punch-list carpentry items for multifamily units, common areas, and building exteriors.
- Repair and adjust trim, doors, casing, baseboard, hardware, cabinetry, shelving, and millwork.
- Perform minor drywall repairs, spackling, sanding, and paint touch-ups.
- Install small finish components (closet accessories, mirrors, bath hardware, thresholds, trims)
- Ensure all work meets Young Development's fit-and-finish standards.
- Work directly with the Superintendent for daily priorities and punch-list planning.
- Communicate material shortages, quality issues, or delays.
- Support quality control walks with Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of carpentry or finish-carpentry experience (multifamily or residential preferred).
- Strong trim carpentry, door installation, cabinet adjustment, and finish detail skills.
- Ability to perform minor drywall, spackle, and paint touch-ups.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must have reliable transportation and basic carpentry tools.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

**Compensation & Benefits**
- Hourly Rate: $26 - $34 depending on experience.
