At Percy, we’re building new ways to help talented professionals find meaningful careers in the multifamily industry. We’re currently seeking a high-performing Assistant Community Manager to join a team at a 400+ unit affordable housing community in Yonkers, NY.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in affordable housing who is passionate about making a direct impact on residents' lives. The role involves managing resident files, performing recertifications, and ensuring compliance with housing program requirements. The right candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment with a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage resident files and perform recertifications

  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements

  • Support property operations and assist with day-to-day management

  • Engage directly with residents to address concerns and provide assistance

  • Collaborate with maintenance and administrative staff

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in affordable housing (tax credit or project-based Section 8)

  • NY Housing Authority background preferred

  • Strong file processing and recertification knowledge

  • Ability to manage full on-site processing without compliance team handoff

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
