Salary: $90,000 base salary + $10,000 bonus + Benefits

As we expand into the dynamic neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we’re seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of the city’s most exciting new hospitality teams.

Position Overview

As General Manager of Little Ruby’s Café Williamsburg, you’ll oversee all front-of-house operations, manage and inspire a diverse team, and collaborate closely with our culinary and beverage departments. You’ll drive operational excellence, financial performance, and team development while cultivating the welcoming, vibrant atmosphere that defines the Little Ruby’s experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily FOH operations in a high-volume setting, ensuring seamless service flow
  • Maintain a guest-first mentality while delivering elevated hospitality standards
  • Manage and develop FOH staff through training, coaching, and performance management
  • Oversee beverage program operations, including specialty coffee, wine, beer, and cocktails
  • Monitor and control labor costs, COGS, inventory, and daily financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all Department of Health, labor, and safety regulations
  • Partner with culinary, bar, marketing, and corporate teams to drive business goals
  • Actively participate in recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and employee development
  • Foster a team culture rooted in professionalism, accountability, and enthusiasm

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Completion of Company General Manager Training Program (or willingness to complete)
  • Alcohol Awareness, Food Handling, and relevant certifications (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 8 years of hospitality experience, with at least 3 in a GM or senior leadership role in a high-volume environment
  • Associate degree in Hospitality, Business, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of guest service excellence, team leadership, and training
  • Strong financial acumen with proficiency in P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented
  • Tech-savvy with experience in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and restaurant tech platforms

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements and cleaning chemicals
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
