Metro PT is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work closely with, and under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. We're looking for someone to treat per diem, picking up cases throughout a designated region in Nassau County. The Occupational Therapist Assistant will assist with occupational therapy treatments and procedures. The COTA may, in accordance with state laws, assist in development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatments.
Job Type: Per Diem
Pay: $45-$50/hr
What You'll be Doing:
- Evaluates patient's need for occupational therapy and develops appropriate treatment plan.
- Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
- Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
- Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
- Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.

Requirements:
- COTA, fully licensed to practice in the State of New York
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
