Location: Manhattan and Lower East Side area
Compensation: $25 per completed job
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Job description

Since 1991, ProVest continues to play a critical role in the legal profesion by ensuring parties in a legal action are properly served legal documents. Today, ProVest annualy serves illions of documents for the country’s most notable law firms, financial institituions and insurance companies. We are actively recruiting individuals to serve summons and complaints for debt collections and other legal documents in San Francisco County. We have several areas available.

This is a 1099 contract position paid weekly per job via direct deposit.

ProVest Independent Contractors Need (to):

  • Provide proof of auto insurance
  • Provide current Driver’s License
  • Meet criminal background standards
  • Have reliable transportation and strong knowledge of local roads and traffic conditions
  • Utilize technology via mobile applications and websites to take photos, input detailed status updates and print proofs of service.
  • Possess personal computer/laptop; printer; scanner; internet service and smart phone (iPhone or Android).
  • Communicate professionally and timely with a strong attention to detail to meet strict abbreviated court deadlines.
  • Have strong knowledge of court system; legal documents; local and state laws
  • Must have proper DCA License/Certification

ProVest Independent Contractor may perform a variety of services. On a typical day you may

  • Serve legal documents to residences and corporations according to Federal, State and Local laws
  • Provide status and photos for each attempt on all cases through smart phone apps
  • Edit/print proof of service from our process server case management software
  • File and record legal documents at the courthouse, recorder's office and/or sheriff's office
  • Request copies of legal documents from court

Payment for your service will be made weekly via direct deposit.
