Litigation Associate — Trademark & Copyright Litigation
Location: Chicago, IL or New York, NY | Hybrid
Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm with a national presence that is currently seeking a mid-level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its Intellectual Property and Technology group in Chicago or New York. About the Role:
This is a hands-on litigation position involving trademark and copyright disputes, anti-counterfeiting litigation, and online enforcement. The Associate will manage and contribute to all phases of litigation, including:

Drafting complaints, TROs, and preliminary injunctions

Conducting high-volume discovery

Preparing and taking depositions

Drafting dispositive motions

Negotiating and drafting settlement agreements

Qualifications:

3–4 years of litigation experience, preferably from a regional or national law firm

Experience managing written discovery, drafting briefs, taking or preparing depositions

Excellent academic credentials

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Admission to practice in Illinois or New York (or eligibility to waive in)
Compensation & Benefits:

Base salary: $250,000 – $275,000, depending on experience and location
