Shift: Swing shift- alternates one week, 7am-3pm and the next week 3pm-11pm
OR 3rd shift- 11pm-7am
Level: Mid-Level
Reports To: Tooling Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety and housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Utilize your practical machining experience (milling, lathe turning, precision grinding, and fine polishing) to maintain high-quality tooling standards.

Use various metrology equipment to measure and document results accurately.

Review and interpret Mold Prints, 3D Renderings, and Schematics to troubleshoot and optimize tooling processes.

Leverage your working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to solve production challenges (e.g., cylinders, motors, valve gate, and hot runner systems).

Address common injection molding issues, including cooling, venting, and steel condition problems, to ensure smooth operations.

Communicate effectively with processing, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless collaboration.

Assist in documenting mold setups, assembly procedures, and improvements.

Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and performance of tools.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

At least two years of machine shop/mold maintenance experience with a High School Degree or equivalent.

Basic understanding of electrical circuits and hydraulics.

Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of metrology equipment.

Proficiency with Windows-based PC programs.

MIG or TIG welding experience is a plus!
