Position: Staff Pharmacist (PV1)

Department: Operations

Location: On-Site, Bellmore, NY 11710

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2 PM - 10 PM

(Pharmacists must be available to address and explain pharmacy-related questions to patients until 10 PM, Monday - Friday)

Reporting: You will be part of the Pharmacy team and report directly to the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC).

Responsibilities:

- Engage extensively with patients and clients, providing medication counseling and education through virtual platforms.

- Review and verify high-volume prescriptions (Prescription Validation).

- Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews, assessing prescribed medications for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness based on patient history and current medications.

- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

- Ensure proper pharmacy and regulatory safety procedures and standards.

- Document and report medication errors to the PIC.

- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

- Stay current with pharmaceutical advancements.

- Maintain a positive and respectful work environment.

Essential Requirements:

- Advanced Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.

- Active pharmacist license in New York.

- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and patient Care.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in using telehealth technologies and electronic health records.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience in a compounding pharmacy.

- Experience in clinical pharmacy or telepharmacy.

- Flexibility to work variable shifts as needed.

- Strong understanding of medication administration and pharmacology principles.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Work Location: On-Site, Bellmore, NY
