We’re looking for an enthusiastic Retail Parts Orientation Specialist to join our team and be the friendly face that guides RV and boat owners through the exciting world of parts, accessories, and upgrades. In this hands-on, customer-focused role, you’ll educate new and returning owners on how to use, care for, and customize their equipment—so they can hit the road or water with confidence.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys blending teaching with sales, and takes pride in making every customer feel welcome and prepared. Plus, you’ll earn an hourly wage plus commission—so your passion and knowledge truly pay off!
Customer Education & Orientation:
- Provide personalized walkthroughs of parts and accessories for new RV and boat owners.
- Demonstrate proper use, safety, and maintenance of essential products (e.g., water systems, leveling tools, towing equipment, electronics).
- Educate customers on product care, warranties, and maintenance schedules.
- Create a welcoming learning environment during scheduled orientation appointments.
Sales & Product Recommendations:
- Recommend must-have and add-on parts based on customer needs, unit type, and lifestyle.
- Upsell relevant accessories and seasonal items during the orientation process.
- Assist customers in selecting compatible parts for upgrades, replacements, and customizations.
- Stay current on new products, technologies, and trends in the RV and marine industries.
Team Support & Communication:
- Coordinate with sales and service teams to prepare parts for unit delivery.
- Work with the parts department to ensure availability of featured and recommended items.
- Assist in merchandising displays and ensuring orientation kits are fully stocked.
- Support in-store events, educational workshops, or customer Q&A sessions.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in RV, marine, powersports, or automotive parts sales or service.
- Strong product knowledge and a passion for boating and camping lifestyles.
- Experience teaching or demonstrating technical equipment is highly valued.
- Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and customer service skills.
- Confident working with customers one-on-one and in small group settings.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use dealership or POS software.
- Must be self-motivated, friendly, and comfortable suggesting solutions.
