Job Description
Iapparel is seeking a Production Coordinator to manage and maintain the production for the Men’s Division. We are looking for a candidate with industry/design experience in a comparable market. This position will report directly to the Director of Sourcing.
This position is full time in office located in Midtown Manhattan.
The ideal candidate must:
- Proactively follow up and communicate with overseas vendors and factories daily to ensure development sample status to the office and execution of all production orders are to be shipped on time.
- Check and log in Production and Development Samples, maintain charts to ensure all components and samples approval process is noted accordingly. Tag samples as needed.
- Update daily WIP reports.
- Ensure all purchase orders are created and sent timely and accurately to vendors.
- Track and receive fabric quality submits, lab dips, print strike offs, trims, accessories, and production samples with critical approval due dates.
- Arrange approval meetings- Be prepared with color standards, fabric qualities, artwork, and cads for timely workflow and note any differences from the Tech Pack to the team: Brand Manager, Sourcing and Design.
- Responsible for reviewing, checking and commenting of approval process throughout the adult product lifecycle: samples, trims, etc. to the factories.
- Keep record on fit status to help prioritize production fit needs for Sourcing Manager to work with Tech Designer.
- Review inspection/product testing reports and take corrective action if needed for shipment/quality approvals.
- Run open PO reports and Shipping reports semi-weekly and advise Sourcing Director of any issues and ensure all factories have their Pos.
- Compliance approval - prepare packing instructions for vendors and be responsible for all aspects of approvals for UPC ticketing/Packing/Carton marking, etc.
- Private label orders: review customer manual to ensure orderly and accurate production process for customer.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure shipments are on schedule and alert Sourcing Manager of any potential shipment delays.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills
- Proactive and strong follow-up skills.
- Collaborative team player and active communicator.
- Very detail-oriented, flexible, able to multi-task.
- Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot.
- Experience with garment construction, production timelines and garment testing.
- Walmart, BJ’s experience and Private Label Production experience needed
- Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Outlook and Word
