Job DescriptionWe are a large residential apartment complex in Newburgh, NY. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Grounds Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and visitors. THIS IS NOT A LANDSCAPING POSITION.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots, and common areas.
- Remove debris, litter, and trash to keep the grounds tidy and presentable.
- Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months to ensure safe access for residents and visitors.
- Emptying the trash compactor
- Removal/breaking down of discarded items (couches, tables, mattresses, etc.)
- Cleaning out the dumpster enclosures
- You may also be needed to assist with transferring maintenance supplies and from one vacant apartment to another, unloading supplies, moving appliances, unit cleanouts, carpet removal, etc.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Benefits Include: Paid holidays, Health insurance, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO accrual from start of employment
Salary: $18.00/hour
